Author Website Creation
You need a website...
A website is a vital part of any successful business. The same is true for authors! Your website is how your readers can always find you, your books, and know what you’re up to. Social media is constantly changing, and you do not own those platforms or control the algorithms of what your audience can see. With your website, YOU control the content and YOU control what your followers can see.
Author Ready knows how important your website is, and how challenging it can be to create a good one. We have teamed up with Sage Web Pros, the web design professionals responsible for Richard Paul Evans’ websites and the Author Ready website, to offer web design services for Author Ready authors.

Ready to Get Started?
After your meeting with the web designer, you will receive an email with instructions on how to create and share all necessary items for your website. Before launching your website, you will need the following information:
- Web domain (your website URL)
- Author logo for your header (if you would like one)
- Website content (colors, content, etc.)
- Captcha key (to secure your contact and mailing forms)
- Email marketing provider API key (i.e., Mailchimp, MailerLite)
- Google Analytics tracking code
You can meet with the web designer before you have all of these items, but the more you have available beforehand, the quicker the process will be.Â
Are you reaching YOUR audience?
No matter what genre you’re writing, and no matter who your audience is, an author’s website is an absolute must! Your website is what gives you control over your destiny as an author. While social media is a great way to interact with your audience, your website is where you can collect information about your followers and reach out to them directly again and again.
We recommend watching the Your Author Website course before beginning your website to help you better understand the scope and importance of this part of your author journey.
